SDI Elite Open Water Diver Course

Thank you for enquiring about the SDI Elite Open Water Diver Course (with SDI Computer Nitrox Diver). The following information is designed to hopefully answer most questions you may have about how this course is run, the content, pre-requites, equipment requirements and what you need to do to prepare yourself for the course.
How do I book in
Contact us via email or phone. You will need to pay a $300.00 deposit with the balance due on the first day of the course. Once we have received deposit we can confirm your booking. Making a confirmed booking on this course indicates your intention to acquire all the necessary equipment that you will need to complete the course and understand that any additional training will be at your expense if necessary. You will be expected
to complete the online theory components of the courses also. If you have any questions, please contact us before you book so you can be sure you have everything you need to commence the course.
• Minimum age 18
• Must be able to complete a 300m snorkel/fin swim
• Must be able to complete a 10 minute tread water / float
Rye - You come to us. Course fees include 5 dives. (See below for accommodation)
Interstate - We come to you. Boat dives not included in fees. Must provide accommodation, boat dives, airfills, tank hire & airport transfers for instructor.
Please read carefully the medical statement attached with this email. If you answer YES to any of the questions on the statement you MUST provide the instructor with a Diving Medical which is within 12 months of the commencement of the course prior to beginning the course.
Attached to this email are 2 documents that must be read, understood and signed. These documents must be presented on the first day of the course.

• Liability Release and Assumption of Risk Form
• Duration of course is 2 full weekends (Can also be completed in 4 consecutive days on request)
• Online theory
• 1 Confined water session
• 5 Open Water Dives (3 shore dives & 2 boat dives)
Day #1 - 9:00am to 4:00pm - Introduction, Online Theory Review, Gear setup
Day #2 - 8:00am to 5:00pm - Confined Water Session , Dive 1
Day #3 - 8:00am to 5:00pm - Dive 2, Dive 3
Day #4 - 8:00am to 5:00pm - Dive 4 (Boat dive), Dive 5 (Nitrox Boat dive)

All theory for the two courses must be completed online at home before the first day of the course. You will be sent a separate email with both online codes and instructions on how to access them on the SDI Website.
We provide the following pieces of equipment for your use throughout the course:
- Air Cylinder & Nitrox Cylinder
- Harness & Wing with weight integration system (Buoyancy Compensating Device)
- First & Second Stage DIN Regulator (Including 2 meter long hose on main regulator)
- Alternate Second Stage Regulator (Also known as Octopus Regulator)
- 7mm Semi-dry Wetsuit (Male and female available)
- Lead weight
You will need to purchase the following pieces of equipment:
- Mask, snorkel, fins, boots, DSMB and Reel/Spool

We strongly recommend if possible that you own all of your own diving equipment. The course is the perfect place for you to get comfortable in your own gear and to get helpful hints from your instructor on how to best adjust your gear for best fit and performance. Please contact the shop to organize anytime to be fitted out in your own gear if your interested.

Includes: SDI Open Water Diver Online Theory Code, SDI Computer Nitrox Diver Online Theory Code, Instruction, Gear hire (except mask, snorkel, fins & boots), 2 Boat Dives, Certification & Certificate, Air & Nitrox fills, Pool Fees, Log Book, Student Record File.
Not included: Mask/snorkel/fins/boots/DSMB/Spool, Accommodation, Boat dives if course is run interstate/overseas, Transfers, Meals if any, Diving Permit Fees.
Rye: Bunk style accomm with shared bathroom facilities - AUD$30.00 per night (Includes Linen) Note: You need to provide towels
A minimum of 2 divers is required for this course to run. A maximum of 4.
If you have a group of 4 or more we can organize a course to suits your schedule.
